If you are interested in a type of yoga that’s not on our schedule or if you would like to have something explained more, please contact us at 336-655-7047 or 336-725-4119. We would love to find out more about your needs.

We revise our schedule every four months and offer additional workshops throughout the year that allow you to deepen your practice and work with great teachers from outside the Triad.
YOGA FOR THE NOVICE
six week class

If you are tentative about coming to a yoga class because you think that you will be the only one there with tight hamstrings and are unsure of what you are doing, then this is the class for you. The class lasts for 6 weeks and you will be given print outs so that you can practice during the week. We will teach you to modify for your limitations and prepare you for entering the other classes. Call 725-4119 to reserve your place.

YOGA LEVEL 1
Instructor, Judi Maloy

Although the pace is slow, the participants find their strength and flexibility increasing along with their understanding of alignment principles and execution of the poses in a fun filled environment. These classes are open to beginners or those who choose to work at a slower, yet active pace.

We make use of the Yoga Wall in these classes.
YOGA LEVEL 2
Instructor, Lindsey Meacham

This class is open to practitioners of all levels, emphasizing the union of mind and body through alignment-based Asana, Pranayama and meditation practices. Yoga with Lindsey is the perfect way to end your weekend and prepare for the week ahead.
ALIGNMENT BASED YOGA LEVEL 1-2
Instructor, Billy McClain

The design of these classes are to give the student a strong background in asana practice while exploring the philosophical aspects of yoga. We will be working in a safe, fun and caring atmosphere. Billy is very influenced by his many years of training in the Iyengar technique.
ALIGNMENT BASED YOGA LEVEL 1-2
Instructor, Leslie Lundquist; Amy McGinnis

Students will learn alignment based yoga in a gentle manner, and how to be present in the pose, thereby learning svadhyaya or self study by looking inside. Practicing in this manner leads us to a deeper understanding and connection with our spirit (true self), and leads to more happiness, light and love in our lives.
ALIGNMENT BASED YOGA LEVEL 2-3
Instructor, Louisa Klein

Emphasizing the BKS Iyengar method of sequencing poses with the use of props when needed. Besides asanas, the classes will include some chanting, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
FLOW YOGA LEVEL 1
Instructor, Lynn Felder

Beginner flow breaks down the classic "salutation to the sun," so that newcomers or begin-againers can align properly and get the most benefit from this traditional yoga flow (one posture linked to the next in a dance-like sequence). The class begins with a nice long centering and focusing practice, usually reclining but sometimes sitting, and warms the body up slowly with attention to specific areas that we'll use in the flow. Then we come to standing and "flow" - slowly - do some standing postures, a balance or two and come back to the floor for various hatha poses for a well-rounded, complete yoga practice.
FLOW YOGA LEVEL 2
Instructor, Lynn Felder

We ask that you have some prior yoga training before attending this class. A more rhythmic, energetic practice set to music. Appropriate for students who want more of a challenge from their yoga practice, you will be guided through a sequence of simple to more advanced asanas building strength and increasing both flexibility and stamina.
ALIGNMENT BASED FLOW LEVEL 1
Instructor, Judi Maloy

The pace of this class is slow, gentle, and yet includes strength building to prepare you to move to the Level 1-2 classes. In these classes, we take a deeper approach to asanas (postures),and pranayama (breath control). There is a focus on improving alignment, and proper execution of the postures along with toning the muscles and improving flexibility. You can remain in these classes forever, or use them as a good preparation for the higher level classes.
ALIGNMENT BASED FLOW LEVEL 2 and 2-3
Instructor, Judi Maloy

We ask that you have prior yoga training before attending this class. These classes can be very vigorous and less attention is paid to the fundamentals of yoga. We still focus on proper alignment but inversions, more advanced backbends and standing poses are focused on. Our classes are always taught with an attitude of fun and play in a safe and supported environment.

We make use of the Yoga Wall in these classes.
