Performing Virabhabradrasana II
I met tiny and spirited Kitty Cobb 3 years ago when her daughter, Amy McGinnis, first came to our yoga studio. Amy eventually ran the first boutique, Let It Be Yoga, in the entrance area of our studio, and she nudged her mom to try a class. I thought that Kitty might take to a yoga practice, but I had no idea that she would continue two and sometimes three times a week to become such a good student.
I feel that Kitty has made many friends and found the practice to be just what she needed. She continuously works with great focus and lots of adorable giggles. She has grown in many ways over the past few years, and she is the perfect example of why yoga is good for you no matter what your age or previous exercise background. When Kitty is not doing yoga, she loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

I went to my first yoga class on a challenge from my daughter that I was out of shape and should do yoga. That was three years ago. I am now feeling some of the benefits of doing yoga: I have gained strength, flexibility, and balance . I discovered my "core" and how to use it. I love learning about the connections between poses and body parts like how organs are massaged and toxins released. I love the gentle spirit and peace of yoga. My goal is to be able to control my little toe!
